OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Art Studio Janitor and Studio Assistant to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment within our creative space.This role is essential in ensuring that the studio remains a safe, functional, and inspiring place for artists and visitors alike.The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and custodial work, with a strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to facility maintenance.This position offers an opportunity to be part of a vibrant artistic community while supporting the daily operations of the studio.Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness throughout the studio.Conduct floor care activities such sweeping ad mopping Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for equipment or infrastructure issues.Assist with cleaning up drawing and painting supplies, including surface prep, washing brushes and palettes Maintain supplies and inventory of cleaning materials, ensuring all areas are well-stocked and organized.Support studio staff with setup and breakdown of events or exhibitions as required.Ensure safety protocols are followed during all cleaning and maintenance activities.Qualifications Proven experience in janitorial, custodial, or facilities maintenance roles, preferably in commercial or industrial settings.Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, polishing, and general maintenance.Experience with cleaning supplies, equipment operation, and safety procedures related to custodial work.Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and walking throughout the studio space.Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.Prior experience in painting or related crafts is a plus but not required.Join our team to help create an inspiring environment where art can flourish!
