Adapt lessons and assessments to meet each learner’s needs. Mentor each student and support their social-emotional growth. Build strong, consistent partnerships with parents and guardians. Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to campus life or culture. Keep student records accurate and organized. Invest in your own growth through reflection, feedback, and ongoing professional development. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees or a teaching credential is a plus. Ability and willingness to teach a wide range of Art courses (Studio Art, Illustration, Painting, Portfolio Development, Graphic & Fashion Design, Drawing, Photography, Digital Media, Animation, Art History, and Electives), following content standards — curriculum and resources provided. Experience working with students, including those with learning differences, neurodiversity, accelerated learning needs, and/or mental health challenges. Mentoring experience and a passion for social-emotional learning. Outgoing, adaptable, and eager to thrive in a dynamic, student-centered environment. Skilled with technology, curious about innovation, and open to learning new tools. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned art instruction for students across grade levels (middle and high school) Foster a classroom environment that encourages creativity, risk-taking, and self-expression Develop students’ skills in a variety of media, techniques, and artistic processes Lead and coordinate campus-wide art initiatives (e.g., exhibitions, murals, art shows, interdisciplinary projects) Collaborate with faculty to integrate art into core subjects and school events Showcase student work across campus through displays, performances, and community partnerships outside of campus Support students in developing creative confidence and artistic voice Maintain organized, safe, and inspiring studio spaces Why Fusion?
