Artist Archives Intern (UMKC Mellon Humanities Internship Program) Eligibility: Open to eligible UMKC students only Application Deadline: 5 /29/2026 Location: Kansas City, MO Total Hours: 160 hours Why Join Us? Our Library & Archives team preserves and provides access to research materials that support scholarship and document artistic communities. As the Artist Archives Intern , you will support the Artist File Initiative (AFI), helping preserve the legacy of Kansas City artists while improving access to archival materials. What You’ll Do Archival Organization Review and enhance organization of artist files to meet archival standards. Finding Aids Development Create documentation for unprocessed archives. Archive Processing Summarize and reorder materials to improve accessibility. Collaboration Work with staff to refine archival systems.
