Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as an Endoscopy Technician, supporting gastrointestinal physicians under the guidance of Registered Nurses. This role involves assisting with a variety of endoscopic procedures, from basic to advanced therapeutic interventions, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout. Key Responsibilities: Assist physicians during procedures by preparing rooms and patients, managing scopes, and positioning patients as needed. Provide clear explanations and emotional support to patients to promote cooperation and minimize discomfort. Monitor and record vital signs, assist with admission and discharge processes, and accurately collect and label specimens. Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols, including cleaning and disinfecting scopes and equipment. Manage inventory by ordering and stocking supplies in procedure and recovery areas. Participate in ongoing education, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives. Perform clinic duties as licensure permits and contribute to a safe, efficient work environment. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred. Completion of Surgical Technology, Anesthesia Technologist, Certified Nurse Assistant, or Medical Assistant program is required. Licenses and Certifications: Current Surgical Technologist Registration, Nursing Assistant Certification, or Certified Medical Assistant licensure in the state of Washington is required. Endoscopy Technician Certificate is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
