Your Responsibilities What You Will Accomplish Conduct both routine and advanced laboratory tests in areas such as chemistry, hematology, and immunology following established guidelines. Evaluate test results for precision, diagnose issues, and handle maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment. Assist in the collection of specimens and the meticulous preparation of samples for testing when required. Keep detailed logs of all procedures performed, mentor new staff members, and contribute to maintaining lab quality standards. Ensure the laboratory environment is safe and clean while adhering to all regulatory and accreditation norms. Required Education A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a related allied health field combined with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification. Certifications Required Obtain ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within the first year of employment. Maintain licensure throughout your employment. Key Skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork. Ability to exercise independent judgment and tackle problems in high-pressure situations.
