In this full-time, first-shift position within a lively community hospital in the scenic Tucson area, your work will help unveil critical insights from each lab sample. Description - What You'll Do Conduct a variety of routine and advanced clinical laboratory tests including chemistry, hematology, and immunology, ensuring adherence to established protocols. Validate test results, troubleshoot anomalies, and carry out preventative maintenance and calibration duties on laboratory instruments. Support specimen collection efforts and meticulously prepare samples for testing as required. Thoroughly document your procedures, helping train newer staff members while promoting a culture of quality assurance and excellence. Ensure the laboratory maintains a pristine and safe working environment while following regulatory and accreditation standards. Education A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a similar allied health field, coupled with ASCP/AMT certification preparation. Certifications Achieve ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within one year of hire. Maintain active certification for the duration of your employment. Skills Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for successful collaboration with healthcare professionals. Proficient in exercising independent judgment and critical thinking skills in a dynamic or high-pressure environment.
