Description - Duties and Responsibilities Conduct routine and sophisticated clinical lab tests across various domains-chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more-following established protocols meticulously. Interpret test results for accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and routinely perform maintenance and calibration on laboratory instruments. Assist in the collection of specimens and prepare samples for diagnostic evaluations as necessary. Maintain thorough documentation of all procedures, mentor new staff or trainees, and ensure that laboratory quality standards are consistently upheld. Ensure a clean, safe work environment, adhering strictly to regulatory and accreditation guidelines. Education Requirements A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health qualification alongside ASCP/AMT certification preparation. Certifications Needed ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within the first year of employment.
