ASCP CT/X-Ray Technologist

Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as an ASCP CT/X-Ray Technologist. This full-time role involves performing a variety of imaging procedures, including CT and X-Ray, while prioritizing patient safety and comfort. You will be the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring their imaging needs are met with professionalism and care. Key Responsibilities Ensure patient safety during radiation therapy and imaging procedures by minimizing risks such as electric shock, burns, and unnecessary radiation exposure. Provide age-appropriate care for pediatric, geriatric, and general patient populations. Conduct pre-procedure equipment checks and perform preventive maintenance to guarantee optimal functioning. Prepare and instruct patients for radiation therapy procedures, determining the best anatomical positioning and shielding. Verify prescribed ionizing radiation dosages for accuracy before treatments. Maintain strict adherence to medical and surgical asepsis protocols. Education and Experience Graduation from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program is required. State licensure permitting diagnostic CT exams and documented training in diagnostic CT procedures. Certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography and nuclear medicine technology (ARRT or NMTCB). At least one year of radiologic/imaging experience. CT registry certification must be obtained within one year of hire. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and cross-sectional anatomy. Proficiency with major CT/X-Ray equipment brands such as GE, Siemens, and Toshiba. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree preferred but not mandatory. Specific experience and training in CT imaging highly valued.
