Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to manage the nutritional care of patients across all age groups, from infants to geriatrics. This role involves assessing nutritional status, developing and implementing personalized care plans, and monitoring patient progress in accordance with established policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will utilize their expertise in nutrition to effectively communicate care principles and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care. Key Responsibilities Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to unit safety and infection control standards. Conduct thorough nutritional assessments through patient interviews and develop goal-oriented nutrition care plans. Coordinate with healthcare team members to deliver a cohesive, team-based approach to patient care. Provide tailored nutritional education to patients based on their individual needs. Qualifications Proficient in performing numerical calculations related to nutritional values, enteral feedings, modified diets, and parenteral nutrition. Strong understanding of food chemistry, caloric content, and the medical rationale behind dietetic restrictions. Excellent communication skills to effectively convey diet therapy instructions to patients and their families. Licenses and Certifications Valid driver's license required; auto insurance necessary for home care roles. Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential is mandatory. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider program. California Children Services (CCS) paneling is preferred but not required.
