Job SummaryAre you passionate about supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing in achieving academic success? Ro Health is hiring a qualified American Sign Language Educational Interpreter to work with Desert Sands Unified School District for the 2025-2026 school year! As an Educational Interpreter, you will facilitate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their peers, teachers, and school staff.You'll provide expressive and voice interpreting in general education classrooms and at school-related activities, ensuring students can fully access their educational environment and meet their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.Why Ro Health:Schedules to complement your lifestyle Competitive compensation and weekly paychecks Commuter benefits up to $315/month through our partnership with Edenred Administrative and clinical support when you need it most Healthcare benefits for eligible providers All providers earn PTO and sick time, even when working a per diem schedule Overview:In-person Indio, La Quinta, Palm Desert, Indian Wells, or Bermuda Dunes $23-24 / hr Responsibilities:Facilitate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and teachers, staff, and peers in classrooms and school-related activities.Interpret classroom lectures, instructional materials, films, presentations, and general communication (may include American Sign Language, Manually Coded English, Pidgin Signed English, and/or oral interpreting).Support students individually or in groups to address individual needs and improve academic success.Provide interpretation for IEP meetings, parent conferences, assemblies, field trips, and extracurricular activities.Adjust interpreting language to match the student's preferred communication style and level to ensure comprehension.Assist teachers in delivering instruction under their direction and supervision.Participate in staff meetings and trainings as needed.Qualifications:Associate's degree, or at least 48 semester units completed Previous experience working in a school setting preferred Strong assessment skills Passion for supporting students in the learning process Inclination to work well in a team environment Benefits (eligibility dependent on employment status):Paid time off Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401K with employer matching Direct deposit Single point of contact About Ro Health Ro Health is a rapidly growing healthcare staffing agency.We have over a decade of experience supplying our students and school districts with kind, caring, and professional healthcare providers.The success of Ro Health depends on the success of our providers, driving our efforts to focus on how we can improve their experience and performance as they continue to deliver exceptional patient care to the student population we serve.Job Type:Part-time Job Types:Full-time, Part-time Pay:$23.00 - $24.00 per hour Work Location:In person.
