Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled ASL Interpreter to join our team.We have multiple ASL Interpreter in School Districts.These are full-time positions and we count on our interpreters to provide the necessary access of our students who are deaf or heard of hearing to educational experiences throughout a school day.This position requires course work, Level 4 certification, and competency using manual sign systems.Responsibilities Provide real-time interpretation of spoken language into American Sign Language and vice versa in educational environments.Ensure accurate conveyance of tone, intent, and context during interpreted conversations or presentations.Prepare for assignments by reviewing relevant terminology, documents, or subject matter to ensure effective communication.Stay current with developments in linguistics, interpretation techniques, and cultural awareness related to ASL.Requirements Educational Interpreter Performance Evaluation (EIPA), level 4 or above Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) American Consortium of Certified Interpreters (ACC1), level 4 or above NAD certification, level 4 or above Educational Signs Skills Evaluation Interpreter (ESSE-1), level 4 or above Proven proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with certification from a recognized interpreting organization preferred.Multilingual abilities are a plus; familiarity with additional languages enhances versatility.Demonstrated experience in interpretation or translation within diverse settings.Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt language style to different audiences.Knowledge of linguistics principles related to sign language structure and usage.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$65.00 - $75.00 per hour Benefits:Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Referral program Relocation assistance Vision insurance License/Certification:EIPA, level 4 or above Or (RID) (Preferred) Or (ACC1), level 4 or above.(Preferred) Or NAD certification, level 4 or above (Preferred) Or (ESSE-1), level 4 or above (Preferred) Work Location:In person.
