Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A contract opportunity is available for a Sign Language Interpreter in Ithaca, NY, supporting a student with 1:1 interpreting services during school hours, Monday through Friday (35 to 37.5 hours per week).The role involves accompanying the student as they transition to and move within the area.Key Responsibilities:Provide accurate and clear sign language interpretation for a student in a school setting Facilitate communication between the student, educators, and peers throughout the school day Accompany the student to various locations as needed within the educational environment Qualifications:EIPA score of 4.0 or higher, or RID/NAD certification required Minimum of 2 years of experience in sign language interpreting preferred Strong ability to support a student in a 1:1 educational setting Location:This position is based in Ithaca, New York, with travel accompanying the student within the area Benefits and Compensation:Competitive pay ranging from $38 to $45 per hour Health benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) retirement plan option through Principal Financial This contract role offers the opportunity to work closely with a student requiring dedicated communication support in a dynamic school environment.If you meet the qualifications and are ready to assist with the student's success, apply to move forward with the hiring process.#p31.
