ASL Interpreter | Full-Time | Goodyear, AZ | In-Person | Student Support About the Role: Provide full-time American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation for a student across the entire school day, supporting access to academic instruction and school activities. You’ll work closely with teachers and staff to ensure the student can fully engage in classroom discussions, lessons, and peer interactions. This role requires strong real-time interpreting skills, preparation for complex academic content, and a collaborative, student-centered approach. Why Join Us: • Founded and operated by practitioners and therapists who understand the work and prioritize meaningful support • CEU/license reimbursement • Full benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) • Paid sick leave, holidays, and vacation • Supportive, collaborative school-based environment What You'll Do • Provide real-time ASL interpretation for all instructional periods and school-related activities • Interpret spoken language into ASL and ASL into spoken language to facilitate communication • Support student access to upper-elementary academic content, including complex vocabulary and discussions • Prepare for sessions by reviewing lesson plans, materials, and subject-specific terminology • Collaborate with teachers, SPED staff, and related service providers to support student success and IEP goals • Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and student engagement while maintaining professional boundaries • Support and interface with assistive technology, including FM systems, as needed • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional interpreting standards What We're Looking For: Must Have: • RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) certification required • EIPA score of 3.5 or higher preferred/accepted • AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card • Strong ASL fluency and ability to interpret in real-time academic settings Preferred: • Experience interpreting in school-based or educational settings • Familiarity with IEP environments and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams • Strong communication, organization, and adaptability About Point Quest Group: Point Quest Group is a leading national provider of special education services, partnering with 350+ school districts to help students with unique needs thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
