Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic construction team as an Asphalt Paving Machine Operator and play a vital role in creating smooth, durable roadways and surfaces.In this energetic position, you will operate heavy paving equipment with precision, ensuring high-quality results on various construction projects.Your mechanical expertise and construction site experience will help drive projects forward efficiently and safely, contributing to the development of infrastructure that benefits communities.This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills in a fast-paced environment while advancing your career in construction.Duties Operate asphalt paving machines to lay down asphalt with accuracy and consistency, ensuring smooth surface finishes Coordinate with the construction crew to prepare the site, including setting up equipment and ensuring proper material flow Manage auxiliary equipment such as loaders, dump trucks, and concrete mixers to supply materials effectively Assist with concrete pouring, pumping, and finishing tasks when needed to support diverse project requirements Conduct routine inspections of paving machinery for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance or report repairs needed Support rebar installation and concrete forming activities to ensure structural integrity of paved surfaces Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to site safety guidelines Requirements Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as asphalt pavers, excavators, loaders, and dump trucks Knowledge of concrete mixing, pumping, finishing, and forming processes within a construction environment Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing basic repairs or maintenance Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or ability to operate commercial vehicles as required for transporting materials and equipment Familiarity with rebar installation and concrete finishing techniques is a plus Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and ability to work in physically demanding conditions Prior experience working on large-scale paving or concrete projects is highly desirable Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a tangible impact!
