Job Functions: The Assembler supports any up to all aerospace structural component manufacturing production tasks noted below in a team environment daily, proactively, and when requested. Per company policy the Assembler may occasionally support other items outside these descriptions when necessary to ensure company operational functions, especially production requirements, are met: Supports the simultaneous completion of all necessary assembly related tasks to ensure efficient use of time often working on multiple projects with minimal oversight Ensures Foreign Object Debris (FOD), 6S, and material traceability is strictly maintained throughout assembly process to ensure customer and AS9100 standards compliance is followed Completes basic riveting and fastener installation and preparation work on parts, post process completion, utilizing Cleco, jigs, or match drilling techniques per customer engineering requirements Installs small to medium sized bushings using liquid nitrogen cooling method Completes installation of helicoil and other similar type inserts to customer specification requirements Applies Click Bond products of various forms, nut plates, studs, etc., to support customer assembly requirements Applies basic sealant application on assembled parts for corrosion prevention and dissimilar metals protection Marks parts per customer engineering requirements and MIL-STD-130 where applicable utilizing rubber stamp, inkjet, dot peen, electro etch methods Completes customer approved touch up applications to support Alodine, primer, top coat, sealant, etc. after completing assemblies As required, utilizes Bridgeport, specialized equipment, and other conventional machinery to support honing, roller swaging, staking, precision boring, basic lathe turning, FTI fitting installation, griding, media blasting, etc. Applies masking to parts where needed prior to completing tasks to ensure protection of part finishes is maintained Performs all tasks utilizing calibrated instruments when necessary to ensure proper application and task completion such as torque wrenches, pressure gauges, ohm meters, gap gauges, calipers, etc. When necessary, performs industrial saw cutting of material for production or tooling needs Utilizes internal documentation to verify assembly methods are adhered to and double checks for correctness are made Utilizes internal job traveler / router to ensure manufacturing methods are kept up to date by logging in usage in ERP system electronically
