Jacobs Stone Products Inc.is a dynamic stone mining operation based in San Saba Texas, serving the natural stone building industry.We are dedicated to quality craftsmanship and sustainable practices, fostering a collaborative environment where team members can thrive.We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Bookkeeper to join our finance team.In this vital role, you will support our accounting functions by managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, and assisting with financial reporting.This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting skills within a growing organization committed to excellence.Assist with maintaining accurate general ledger accounting and account reconciliation processes Enter and review journal entries, debits & credits, and perform balance sheet reconciliation Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently Support bank reconciliation activities and ensure accuracy of financial data using accounting software such as QuickBooks.Aid in payroll processing, tax experience, and governmental accounting compliance as needed Prepare financial reports and assist with account analysis and budgeting tasks Perform 10 key typing, general ledger reconciliation, and general ledger accounting duties to ensure data integrity Proven experience with accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and double entry bookkeeping principles Knowledge of corporate and non-profit accounting practices is preferred Familiarity with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, journal entries, and financial report writing Ability to perform account analysis, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation accurately Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently Basic proficiency in 10 key typing and general ledger accounting is required Prior experience in governmental or public accounting is a plus but not mandatory Join us as an Assistant Bookkeeper to contribute your expertise in a fast-paced environment where your skills will directly impact our financial integrity.We value proactive team members eager to grow their careers while supporting our mission of delivering quality natural stone products.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$38,500.00 - $45,000.00 per year Benefits:Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Paid training Work Location:In person.
