PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND Responsibilities:1.Represent MTT Early Learning Center positively, interacting effectively with a diverse group of faculty, staff, students, and other customers of our services.2.Handle confidential information with tact, discretion and in compliance with MTT ELC and DCDEE policies, procedures, and regulations.3.Establish and maintain positive communication with parents, children, peers, and supervisors.4.Manage the department's operations and provide guidance and maintain COMAR compliance.5.Assist with the development of the curriculum framework and curriculum tools that provide opportunities for each child to meet learning expectations that prepare children for success in school.6.Lead and direct staff at the center level by providing direct support and coaching 7.Coach and train staff on how to meet children's social and emotional development needs through positive child guidance approaches.8.Train staff on how to conduct assessments of each child's learning needs through screening, observation, ongoing assessment, and the development of individual learning plans.9.Provide general housekeeping tasks such as sweeping and picking up toys and materials used in projects.10.Prepare, serve, and clean up breakfast, lunch and snacks as needed for the classroom model.11.Maintain all required records in an accurate and timely manner and prepare reports as needed 12.Lead video communication and distance learning for ongoing professional development and team meetings.13.Assist in budget planning and management 14.Collaborate with staff to develop and implement educational programs and initiatives 15.Provide guidance and support to students, addressing their needs and concerns 16.Assist in the recruitment and retention of staff and students 17.Coordinate and facilitate meetings, workshops, and events 18.Prepare and distribute program related correspondence such as weekly reminders, menus and events 19.Assist with sanitation and regulatory compliance by supporting daily inspections and ensuring adherence to licensing requirements and state regulations.20.Assist with tours, staff meetings, and parent conferences to support engagement, communication, and smooth operations OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:1.Other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Minimum Qualifications:1.High Diploma or equivalent 2.5 years of childcare experience 3.Meet DCDEE Administrator requirements.4.CDA or equivalent Employment Requirements:1.Successful completion of criminal records and fingerprint background check.2.Valid Certificate of CPR and first aid, training on emergency preparedness, TB test to meet state health requirements. Salary Negotiable Pay:$19.00 - $24.00 per hour Work Location:In person.
