Job Type Administrative Salary Range $45,000 - $50,000 Start Date As soon as possible FLSA Status Exempt Application Deadline Sep 15, 2026 Contact Please submit an online application Job Description Position Summary: Reporting to the Associate Athletic Director for Facilities and Operations, the Athletic Facilities and Operations Manager will oversee the overall development and management of athletic facilities, equipment services, and game-day operations and staff. Key Responsibilities: Manage daily operations of athletic facilities to ensure safety, code compliance, and cleanliness. Serve as the primary liaison with university departments for all services and preventive maintenance. Oversee the inventory of facility equipment and facility-specific assets. Manage maintenance and repairs for all assigned equipment and facilities. Facilitate the process for addressing maintenance issues, from reporting through the university work order system to repair or replacement. Schedule events and manage space utilization for all facilities, ensuring readiness for scheduled events in collaboration with teams and the facility rental office. Maintain the facility usage calendar and pre-event notes. Manage assigned facility budgets, tracking work orders and equipment purchases. Review the facility budget monthly with the Senior Leadership Team and Business Manager. Oversee minor capital projects, including deferred maintenance, as assigned. Plan and execute game operations, including logistics, staffing, and collaboration with various units within athletics, the university, and external clients. Coordinate setup, breakdown, and cleanup of game day events. Track, input, and report all expenses by event in collaboration with the Business Manager. Supervise full-time, part-time, and student staff during games, events, and facility projects. Provide leadership to develop and grow the staff within facilities and operations. Supervise assigned sports as directed by the Director of Athletics. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Athletics administrative experience is preferred. Experience managing athletic and non athletic events (e.g., concerts, graduations) in a Division I environment is highly desirable. Prior supervisory experience is required. Advanced knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, with sound judgment regarding strategic and confidential matters. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines. Proficiency in computer applications, including databases, spreadsheets, presentations, and word processing. Familiarity with web applications for document maintenance and policy management. Ability to train and supervise staff, effectively organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work. Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse constituencies. Ability to work independently, exercising excellent judgment in decision-making. Special Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects and move equipment, with or without assistance, at all facilities. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to support athletic schedules.
