Classification Title: Event Planner I FLSA: Exempt FTE: 1.00 Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent Position Summary: Oversees the planning and implementation of varsity sporting events for the UGA Athletic Association and various SEC and NCAA Championship events hosted on campus. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And/or Competencies: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals, customers and the general public. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only a limited standardization exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Physical Demands: Walk or sit for extended periods of time. Lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
