This role is pivotal in ensuring a seamless and efficient patient registration process while supporting leadership in optimizing revenue cycle operations. General Summary The Assistant Director of Patient Access collaborates closely with the Director to oversee registration functions, train staff, and implement policies that enhance patient access services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support management of the overall patient registration and admission processes. Work alongside registration teams, including clinic staff, to ensure accurate and efficient patient data collection. Assist in developing and enforcing policies and standard operating procedures related to patient access. Provide training and ongoing support to registration personnel to maintain compliance with best practices. Monitor key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement. Address and resolve patient access and registration issues promptly. Stay current with industry regulations to ensure departmental compliance. Oversee work queue productivity, ensuring timely issue resolution and re-education to prevent recurring errors. Develop and implement annual competency programs for the registration team to promote professional growth. Contribute to strategic planning and goal setting alongside the Director of Patient Access. Education High school diploma or equivalent is required. A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Experience Three to five years of relevant experience in patient access or similar departments is required, with at least two years in a supervisory or management role preferred.
