Job Description
Job Summary We are on the lookout for an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant General Manager to lead our team at a fast-paced, casual dining restaurant. In this role, you will be the driving force behind daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, smooth kitchen and front-of-house management, and efficient food and staff handling. The ideal candidate is passionate about food service management, possesses strong leadership skills, and thrives in a dynamic environment. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining high standards, fostering a positive team atmosphere, and delivering memorable guest experiences. Responsibilities Oversee daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service quality, and staff performance to ensure a seamless dining experience. Manage inventory control and food safety practices, including monitoring stock levels and ensuring proper food handling procedures. Lead staff training and development initiatives to enhance team skills in areas such as POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS), cash handling, and customer service. Supervise kitchen and front-of-house teams during shifts, ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to safety standards, and exceptional hospitality. Assist with interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new team members to build a motivated and skilled workforce. Support budgeting efforts by managing labor costs, controlling food expenses, and optimizing operational efficiency. Foster a positive work environment through effective communication, conflict resolution, and leadership that motivates staff to excel. Experience Proven management experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting with a focus on food service management and supervision. Extensive background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management within casual dining or similar environments. Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and cash handling. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, inventory control practices, and food industry standards. Demonstrated ability to train staff effectively in areas like customer service, food handling, shift management, and culinary techniques. Experience working in hospitality management roles with responsibilities including budgeting, team leadership, and operational oversight. Familiarity with fine dining or banquet settings is a plus but not required; a passion for delivering top-tier guest experiences is essential.
