Assistant General Manager – Hampton Inn Cedar Bluff Hello! We are eagerly searching for an amazing AGM with a strong drive to one day grow into a General Manager position within our company. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record with robust hospitality experience in operations, both at the front desk and in the back of the house. The Role This is a salaried position averaging 45 hours per week, reporting directly to the General Manager. Your schedule will vary based on occupancy and events—true hospitality isn't 9 to 5, and neither is our commitment to the guest. Your Goal: Supervise daily operations, train a top-tier staff, and lead the Front Desk, breakfast & back of the house departments to financial and operational success. What You’ll Be Doing Lead the Front Line: Serve as the Department Head for Front Desk and breakfast. You’ll handle the "big picture" (hiring, training, and reviews) while ensuring every Hilton Brand Standard is met. Master the House: You won't just sit in an office. You’ll train in Housekeeping, Sales, and Maintenance to understand how the whole machine runs. Maintain Our Winning Streak: You will be a key guardian of our QA and Stay Scores, ensuring the property stays up-to-date on all Hilton-mandated programs. Operations & Admin: From checking nightly audit packs and managing payroll accuracy to responding to Guest Surveys and Guest Assistance cases, you’ll have your hands in the details that make the hotel a successful Hampton Inn. Sales Support: Partner with the GM and Sales team on group bookings in PEP, visit compset hotels, and even go on sales calls to help grow our footprint. Ownership of the "Hampton Breakfast": Manage the breakfast department’s efficiency, health code compliance, and weekly ordering while keeping costs in check. Monthly & Weekly Focus Collaborate with the GM, Executive Housekeeper & Maintenance Team to ensure deep cleans & PMs are completed. Audit training records to ensure the team is sharp and compliant. Manage AR aging, payroll audits, and monthly User ID audits. Join the GM on weekly Revenue calls and stay connected to the property's financial success.
