Planet 13 Florida (formerly VidaCann) is proud to be one of the largest, most advanced and sustainable providers of medical cannabis in Florida. Our mission is to help our Florida friends and neighbors live their healthiest lives with our all-natural, sun-grown cannabis products. We are currently looking for an Assistant General Manager to join our team at our new dispensary in Sarasota. The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager with all aspects of dispensary operations. This position performs the duties of the Dispensary Manager and operates the store in the absence of the Dispensary Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assist with the daily operations of the dispensary to ensure an efficient workflow. Greet and check-in customers, verifying ID and cannabis card status. Dispense medication and collect payment via POS systems (cash, debit, etc.), ensuring accurate transactions. Access and utilize the state’s Medical Marijuana Use Registry (MMUR) for dispensing products to patients. Discuss and make product recommendations to customers, providing guidance based on their needs and physician's recommendations. Maintain strict controls on product, cash, and patient data at all times to ensure accuracy and security. Promote a positive, customer-service-oriented work environment and provide exceptional service to customers. Maintain a safe and clean retail store environment, ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards. Submit daily deposits and maintain accurate record-keeping in the absence of the General Manager. Support the General Manager in completing performance and sales goals. Oversee employees and perform GM duties as needed, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Act as a liaison between management and employees, addressing concerns and providing support to the team. Provide solutions or suggestions to resolve minor team challenges and promote a collaborative work environment. Support marketing and sales efforts to ensure sales goals are met, including assisting with promotions and in-store displays. Stay current with the latest industry trends, product knowledge, and regulatory changes. Research and schedule community events or table days to engage with the local community and promote the dispensary. Assist the GM with product orders and report on inventory needs, ensuring timely replenishment. Support the GM in completing daily, weekly and monthly reports, including sales data, inventory tracking, and employee performance. Assist with inventory counts and ensure that proper inventory processes are followed. Support the General Manager with employee schedules, time-off requests, and staff coverage needs. Report ongoing repair and maintenance issues to the direct supervisor for timely resolution. Assess staff performance and training needs, and report findings to the GM to ensure continuous development. Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure. Assist with the implementation of company policies, standard operating procedures, and performance standards. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Daily compliance with Company policies including but not limited to; state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, dress code, and work schedules. Supervisory Responsibilities This role does not have formal supervisory responsibilities but provides support to staff as needed. The Assistant General Manager is responsible for coaching and guiding team members, assisting with training and helping resolve operational challenges. The Assistant General Manager steps in for the General Manager in their absence to ensure the efficient functioning of the team. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
