We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and passionate team member to work in our Guest Services operations.AFM is Ann Arbor's only locally owned and operated Natural and Organic Food Store, opened in 1979, with an emphasis on delivering the freshest and most wholesome - no artificial products on the West Side.We are foodies who love health & wellness and want to share those passions with our neighbors and guests.AFM is looking for a qualified and reliable team member to lead our Guest Services team.The role is engaging with guests through running register, bagging, service desk operations, training and development of team members, and overall service responsibilities with store coverage in the absence of the Store Manager.The position is Full Time and requires working 3 evening shifts until 8pm and 2 shifts until 7pm.Four days during the week and one day on the weekend.Our store hours are 7am to 8pm (7-7 on Sunday).Other responsibilities include; overall PIC/MOD coverage in the absence of the store manager, reviews, training and team member evaluations.A more complete listing of requirements; - Maintain AFM guest service standards by assisting Guest Services Manager with maintaining staffing levels appropriate to sales volume, hiring and training guest service associates, fostering teamwork, coordinating the development and training of department associates, and by communicating with Guest Services Manager to accurately assess the department's scheduling and staffing needs. Attain excellent guest relations by participating in the coaching and development of associates in support of AFM guest service philosophy. Attain department labor and productivity standards by staffing, scheduling and utilizing labor hours/dollars effectively. Maintain cashier accuracy standards as defined by AFM through the implementation of audits and performance standards. Excellent organizational and time management skills - Maintain AFM store cleanliness standards through the effective use of labor hours, and complete those functions defined as daily, weekly and periodic cleaning tasks. Attain excellent associate relations and performance standards by supporting policies defined in the AFM associate handbook, as well as department operations guidelines as defined by guest services manager and store director. Achieve department operations goals and standards as outlined by the store director. Function as person-in-charge of store operations during those periods defined on store management schedule.
