Shore Street Assisted Living is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and technology-proficient Assisted Living Facility Administrator / Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our 27-bed residential-only assisted living facility serving adults with mental health needs. This is not a high-acuity nursing environment. Our residents are ambulatory, fairly independent, and primarily require a structured, supportive living environment with medication oversight, coordination of care, meals, and professional supervision. We are seeking someone who is calm under pressure, highly organized, able to work independently, and capable of keeping operations running smoothly without constant oversight. Schedule: Monday – Friday 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM Compensation: $65,000 – $72,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the assisted living facility Coordinate resident appointments, pharmacy communication, and physician follow-up Ensure medication administration records (MARs), documentation, and resident files remain organized and current Maintain compliance with Virginia assisted living regulations and survey readiness Supervise and support direct care staff Handle scheduling issues, staff call-offs, and operational problem-solving Communicate professionally with hospitals, CSBs, case managers, families, and referral sources Assist with admissions, tours, intake coordination, and maintaining occupancy Monitor overall building structure, professionalism, and resident stability Ensure incidents, concerns, and follow-up tasks are addressed promptly and professionally Utilize computer systems effectively for documentation, communication, organization, and reporting Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living, behavioral health, mental health services, healthcare operations, or related field strongly preferred Strong computer skills REQUIRED Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities independently Professional communication and follow-through skills Experience working with adults with mental health needs preferred Strong leadership and staff management abilities Must be dependable, structured, and solutions-oriented Experience with electronic documentation systems preferred What We Are Looking For This position is ideal for someone who: thrives in a structured environment, is highly organized, communicates professionally, takes initiative, and can keep operations running smoothly without requiring constant reminders or supervision.
