Marshallberg Farm is a recirculating aquaculture systems farm (RAS).We raise sturgeon for caviar.Job Description:Title:Assistant Aquaculture TechnicianReports to:Lead Aquaculture TechnicianWe are looking for a mechanically minded, physically strong candidate to help with maintenance and repairs on the farm.The ideal candidate will be a person that can be trained to learn the mechanics of the farm, with the goal of assisting repairs and maintenance.Must be OK with getting dirty and wet once in a while.Work involves occasional heavy lifting and occasional handling of large, strong fish.No previous aquaculture experience is necessary, but plumbing/pump repair experience is a huge plus.Expected Hours of Work:This job will start as part-time hourly (flexible, to be discussed), with opportunity to expand, and pay based upon experience and/or performance.The facility operates 24/7, and the ideal candidate will be local and available to help during occasional weather events that can cause mechanical issues.Essential Skills for Ideal Candidate:Willingness to learn with a good attitudeStrength to lift 50lb feed bags repeatedly (every 2 months)Basic knowledge of plumbing & electricalAbility to use common hand tools safely and effectivelyWillingness to get wet and do occasional dirty work Job Type:Full-time Pay:$17.00 - $30.00 per hour People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Application Question(s):Are you located Down East?
