Job Description Summary: The Material Master Assistant Manager is responsible for end-to-end governance, maintenance, and optimization of Material Master and related master data (e.g., BOM, vendor, and plant-specific data) across the organization. This role ensures data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with corporate and system standards to enable reliable real-time reporting and operational execution. The role collaborates cross-functionally with multiple teams to support business continuity, system enhancements, and data-driven decision-making at the right time. Job Description: Essential Functions Create, review, and approve Material Master and Bill of Materials (BOM) changes in SAP/ERP systems, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with governance standards. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Material Master data, supporting business users with technical guidance, issue resolution, and root-cause analysis. Manage the full material lifecycle (creation, extension, change, inactivation), ensuring alignment with business rules and audit requirements. Monitor and improve data quality through KPIs, validation rules, and periodic audits, proactively identifying risks and corrective actions. Lead and support master data governance activities, including documentation, standardization, and process enhancement initiatives Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manual effort, eliminate data issues, and improve system efficiency. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in Material Master Data Management, SAP MM, or equivalent ERP systems. Strong understanding of supply chain processes, material lifecycle management, and data governance concepts. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Highly detail‑oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills Ability to translate business requirements into system logic and data rules Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, data validation, basic analysis). Experience working in cross‑functional and fast‑paced environments. – Preferred. SAP ECC or S/4HANA Material Management (MM) experience – Preferred Experience supporting system projects, data migration, or MDM initiatives – Preferred.
