Duties Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, shift management, and ensuring smooth service flow. Lead and motivate team members by providing training, coaching, and development opportunities to enhance their skills in food preparation, customer service, and safety protocols. Supervise food handling and preparation processes to maintain high standards of quality, cleanliness, and food safety compliance across all kitchen and front-of-house activities. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and minimizing waste. Oversee cash handling procedures and reconcile daily sales to ensure accuracy and accountability. Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries promptly, resolving issues effectively, and fostering a hospitable environment. Support management in budgeting efforts and cost control initiatives to optimize restaurant profitability while maintaining quality standards. Qualifications Proven experience in food service management or supervisory roles within quick service or fast food restaurants; fine dining or casual dining experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety regulations. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in staff training, team management, and interviewing prospective employees. Excellent customer service skills with a passion for hospitality and creating positive guest experiences. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage inventory effectively. Previous assistant manager experience in the food industry is highly desirable; experience in catering or hotel food services is advantageous.
