Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Medical Doctor to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assist senior physicians in delivering comprehensive patient care across various clinical settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, and emergency departments. Your responsibilities will include supporting patient assessments, performing basic medical procedures, and ensuring smooth clinical operations. Responsibilities Assist physicians with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. Support diagnostic procedures by preparing patients for examinations and assisting with basic tests like X-ray imaging when applicable. Administer medications and treatments under supervision, adhering strictly to established protocols and safety standards. Document patient interactions accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring clarity and compliance with medical documentation requirements. Monitor patient progress during inpatient stays or outpatient visits, noting changes in condition and reporting findings promptly to supervising physicians. Participate in emergency response activities within hospital or urgent care settings, including Basic Life Support (BLS) procedures and stabilization efforts for Level I or Level II trauma cases. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, geriatrics, or surgical units to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Experience working in hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or urgent care environments; Level I Trauma Center experience is highly desirable. Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and data management. Familiarity with ICD coding for accurate diagnosis classification and billing processes. Ability to perform clinical procedures such as medication administration, vital signs measurement, and basic X-ray interpretation when needed. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric intensive care units (PICU). Knowledge of medical-surgical practices and experience supporting inpatient care at hospital or Level II trauma centers. Competence in handling emergency medicine situations with calmness and precision; certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
