Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant or Lay Minister for Family Ministry to join our vibrant faith community. Duties Assist in developing and implementing family-focused ministry programs that promote spiritual growth and community engagement Provide bereavement support and hospice care guidance to families navigating grief with compassion and sensitivity Lead and facilitate teaching sessions, workshops, and public speaking engagements on topics such as Christian counseling, crisis intervention, and conflict management Organize and coordinate family events, retreats, and outreach activities that foster connection and spiritual enrichment Offer mentoring and crisis management support to individuals and families facing personal or spiritual challenges Develop educational materials, presentations, and written resources to enhance ministry outreach efforts Collaborate with church leadership to plan strategic initiatives that support family wellness and faith development Experience Proven experience in Christian counseling, teaching, or ministry roles with a focus on family or community outreach Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others through public speaking and presentation skills Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—to effectively connect with diverse audiences Experience in event planning, crisis intervention, conflict management, and crisis response strategies Knowledge of bereavement support practices, hospice care principles, and Christian-based mentoring techniques Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, discretion, and professionalism Prior involvement in church or community service projects that demonstrate a commitment to nurturing faith-based relationships Join us in this rewarding role where your energy fuels our mission to serve families with love, compassion, and unwavering faith.
