Assistant Production Supervisor Job Description Assistant Production Supervisor The primary purpose of the Assistant Production Supervisor is to ensure effective, safe and cost efficient operations and effective staff management for the Production Floor, Soil Room and Washroom departments. DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Lead Soilroom and Washroom staff to meet daily/weekly production goals through efficient production processes: Ensure that adequate staffing exists through effective scheduling. Effectively manage labor costs as directed. Ensure that all employees are adequately trained. Ensure that quality and production standards are met. Lead ironing and tumble fold areas as directed to meet daily/weekly production goals through efficient production processes: Ensure that adequate staffing exists through effective scheduling. Uphold a genuine regard for safety by ensuring that safety committee meetings are held monthly on relevant topics. React immediately to perceived safety violations or issues, notifying the Plant Manager. Track and communicate necessary information to employees regarding production targets, achievements, etc. Communicate visibly via a Production Board Hold periodic department meetings to discuss accomplishments.
