Job Description
Serves as a point of contact supporting the successful execution of projects and helping ensure client expectations are met. Works closely with the Project Manager and design disciplines within the Valdes organization to coordinate project design execution. Assists in leading project teams and supports the delivery of projects in accordance with the project's scope, budget, and schedule. Help maintain positive working relationships within the design team and client counterparts throughout the project lifecycle. Assist in the organization of project information and may participate in site visits and client meetings as needed to facilitate communication and information exchange. Responsibilities Assist with coordinating multiple multi-disciplinary building projects of any size Assist with managing scope, budget, and schedule for building projects from the conceptual stages through planning, design, construction, and contract closeout Attend project meetings as directed to assist in the generation of meeting minutes, logging and tracking tasks, and general project documentation Assist with coordinating the efforts of the staff to achieve the client's established project objectives Other duties as assigned Technical Competencies Knowledge of multi-discipline project design execution and construction tasks, including logging and coordination of submittals and RFIs, reviewing contractor's pay applications and waivers, closeout documentation, etc. Experience with public sector clients and projects required Experience with higher education clients and projects preferred Ability to clearly communicate complex concepts in a simple, easy-to-understand manner Detail-oriented with overall sense of urgency Strong verbal and written communication skills Familiarity with the relationships between building-related
