Job Title: Assistant Property Manager Industry: Commercial Real Estate Location: Alexandria, VA Assignment Type: Contract (8-week coverage assignment) Pay: $31 – $34 / Hour (depending on experience) Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (fully onsite) Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). About Our Client: Addison Group is partnering with a well-established organization in the commercial real estate space to identify an Assistant Property Manager for a short-term coverage assignment. This role will support day-to-day property operations across a multi-building portfolio, ensuring a high-quality experience for tenants and vendors. Job Description: The Assistant Property Manager will play a key role in supporting building operations while the Property Manager is out of office. This individual will serve as a primary point of contact for tenants and vendors, helping to maintain efficient operations, strong client relationships, and overall property presentation. Key Responsibilities: Act as a liaison between tenants, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of service requests Coordinate tenant move-ins and move-outs, including documentation, scheduling, and site inspections Support vendor management, including oversight of service delivery and contract compliance Assist with budgeting activities, tracking expenses, and reviewing invoices for accuracy Partner with leadership to identify operational improvements and cost efficiencies Conduct routine property inspections to maintain appearance and functionality of common areas and facilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as engineering, leasing, and construction to support property needs Help coordinate tenant engagement initiatives, including meetings, trainings, and events Provide guidance to junior team members and assist with administrative oversight as needed Respond to urgent property-related issues and support emergency procedures when required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field required 2+ years of experience in commercial property management Familiarity with budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reporting processes Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with property management systems is a plus Working knowledge of industry regulations (ADA, OSHA) is beneficial Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Self-starter who can work independently while contributing to a team environment Perks: Opportunity to gain hands-on experience managing a commercial property portfolio Exposure to cross-functional teams within a dynamic real estate environment Fast-moving interview process and immediate start Ability to step into a high-impact role with autonomy and visibility Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
