Job Description
BioMed Realty is seeking a professional to assist the Property Manager in overseeing and coordinating all property management, maintenance, and construction activities across the company’s portfolio of life science and technology properties. This position offers a hybrid work model, which includes 4 days in office and 1 day remotely. Hybrid work may be modified based on the needs of the company. What You’ll Do Assists with overseeing and coordinating property management, maintenance, construction, and work order activities associated with commercial and laboratory tenants. Provides direction and coordination for activities related to the operation and maintenance of laboratory, office, and manufacturing facilities and equipment. Assists in preparing budgets, accruals, variance reporting, timelines, and operational plans to support property management objectives. Maintains organized files, records, schedules, compliance documentation, and related property management data. Supports regulatory and operational compliance with applicable local, state, federal, and company policies and procedures. Participates in frequent communication and meetings with Property Managers, Facility Managers, tenants, vendors, and contractors to coordinate projects and resolve operational matters. Prepares and distributes correspondence, reports, meeting materials, and related documentation. Provides logistical support for on-site and off-site meetings, including setup, coordination, and follow-up activities. Assists with obtaining vendor bids and preparing contracts, consulting agreements, and design agreements using approved templates and vendor information. Assists with assembling and reviewing contract bids, project progress reports, and vendor performance documentation. Conducts weekly property inspections and assists with monthly and quarterly property and asset reviews, including site visits, vendor and tenant meetings, and completion of required reporting. Coordinates tenant access support, including arranging access cards and activating key fobs at multiple properties. Represents the company in interactions with tenants, vendors, contractors, outside agencies, and business partners. Maintains ongoing communication with key clients and contacts to ensure timely follow-up, project completion, and resolution of outstanding items. Assists with rent collection activities, tenant reconciliations, invoice processing, and coordination with property accounting and accounts payable teams. Assists Property Managers and Facility Managers in responding to emergency situations and coordinating on-site communication with tenants, vendors, contractors, and emergency personnel as needed. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. Experience & Qualifications Relevant experience supporting real estate or property management operations, including administrative and clerical responsibilities. Associate degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; MRI experience preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally. Demonstrated organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with tenants, vendors, contractors, and internal teams. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently and collaboratively. Compensation : $37.00 - $46.00 per hour (Approx. $77,000 - $96,000 per year) + bonus + benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
