Responsibilities The Assistant Recreation Director is responsible for assisting the Recreation Director in the development, implementation and supervision of the full scope of recreation services. *Assist with planning the nursing center recreation program by contributing to the development of program philosophies and policies, along with writing procedures, goals and objectives for the program. *Contribute to the implementation of meaningful activities for all patients/residents' that engage them creatively, intellectually, physically, socially and spiritually. *Assist in the recruitment and training of recreation program volunteers. May assume responsibility for volunteer program development and implementation. Who You Are *Able to lead, teach, train others *Effective communicator with excellent verbal, written and presentation skills *Well-developed organizational abilities *Excellent customer service and hospitality skills Qualifications *High school diploma or equivalent and completion of the NAAP/NCCAP Modular I Course for Activity Professionals or Certification in accordance with regulatory agencies governing the center, by the National Certification Council of Activity Professionals (ADC) or the National Council of Therapeut
