Job Description
OverviewJoin our dynamic retail team as an Assistant Store Manager, where your leadership and organizational skills will drive store success and create an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.In this energetic role, you will support the store manager in overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring that sales goals are met while maintaining a welcoming environment.Your proactive approach and management expertise will inspire your team to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve operational excellence.Duties Assist in supervising daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies.Lead and motivate a diverse team through effective training, coaching, and development initiatives to foster a high-performance environment.Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, merchandising, pricing accuracy, and inventory control to maximize sales opportunities.Manage cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) systems, payroll processing, and bookkeeping tasks with precision and integrity.Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates, employee orientation, and onboarding processes to build a strong team foundation.Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining positive customer relationships.Assist in marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase store visibility and sales performance.Handle shift management duties such as scheduling staff coverage, supervising cashiering operations, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.Skills Strong leadership abilities with proven experience in supervising teams within a retail environment.Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and engage customers effectively.Proficiency in inventory management, retail math, pricing strategies, and sales management techniques.Skilled in negotiation, purchasing decisions, merchandising, and marketing strategies to boost store performance.Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks.Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently across multiple responsibilities such as training & development, budgeting, and stock replenishment.Knowledge of retail sales techniques including upselling and cross-selling to enhance revenue streams.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$22.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours:40 per week Benefits:Employee discount Work Location:In person.
