Role Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable and driven Assistant Store Manager – Sales to support day-to-day operations and drive sales performance in our HDD store. This role combines leadership, customer relationship management, and technical product knowledge to support contractors in the field. Key Responsibilities ● Assist the Store Manager in achieving sales targets for HDD equipment, tooling, and supplies ● Customer service support OSR (Outside Sales Reps) ● Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, utility crews, and industry clients, OSR’s, and ISR’s ● Provide product recommendations based on customer project needs (drilling conditions, soil types, etc.) ● Monitor inventory levels and coordinate ordering of drilling tools, fluids, and parts for the store and the OSRs ● Process Sales orders for invoicing ● Support store operations, including scheduling, opening/closing, merchandising, shipping to customers, and Face-to-Face Interactions ● Resolve customer issues quickly to maintain satisfaction and loyalty ● Track sales performance and identify opportunities for growth Required Qualifications ● 2+ years of experience in sales, preferably in construction, utilities, or heavy equipment ● Strong communication and relationship-building skills ● Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment ● Able to lift 75 pounds Preferred Qualifications ● Basic knowledge of Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) equipment and processes ● Familiarity with brands such as Vermeer or Ditch Witch ● Experience supporting contractors or field crews ● Knowledge of inventory systems and POS software What We Offer ● Competitive Pay + mid-year & end year bonuses ● Health Insurance ● Paid time off and holiday pay ● 401(k) plus profit sharing ● Ongoing product and industry training ● Opportunities for advancement within the company How to Apply Submit your resume and a brief summary of your experience to [email/link].
