Job SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to support the daily operations of our grocery retail location.The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of grocery retail management.This role involves overseeing grocery store functions, managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining inventory control to drive sales and enhance store performance.Responsibilities Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures Supervise and motivate team members to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and merchandising to optimize product presentation Handle employee training Utilize POS systems for sales transactions and inventory tracking Implement pricing strategies and promotional activities to increase sales volume Maintain organized store layout through effective merchandising and stocking practices Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures Support marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing ones Handle customer inquiries via phone etiquette and in-person interactions with professionalism Requirements Proven experience in grocery retail management or supervisory roles with assistant manager experience preferred Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and retail math calculations Knowledge of merchandising, pricing strategies, and sales management techniques Ability to handle cash handling procedures accurately and responsibly Organizational skills Experience in recruiting, training & development, budgeting, and marketing within a grocery retail environment Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently across shift management duties Customer service-oriented mindset with professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in grocery management or retail preferred Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Work Location:In person.
