Join a dynamic healthcare finance team as an Assistant Vice President of Finance, overseeing multiple finance and accounting functions within a regional medical organization. This role is essential for establishing internal controls to monitor assets, capital investments, control costs, and measure liquidity effectively. Key Responsibilities: Serve as a liaison with senior leadership and accounting teams regarding monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements. Summarize financial status by interpreting asset ratios, break-even analysis, operating costs, and other fiscal stability metrics. Collaborate with operations, marketing, HR, IT, and other departments on budget approvals and ROI evaluations for projects. Prepare for audits ensuring financial reporting complies with applicable regulations such as GAAP, FASB, and SEC mandates. Stay informed about changes in healthcare reimbursement models and regulatory environments relevant to the Midwest region. Oversee development and maintenance of financial models and tools supporting budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. Provide in-depth financial analysis including budget-to-actual variance, service line profitability, and capital project ROI. Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for financial and operational improvements. Maintain compliance with privacy and security regulations regarding Protected Health Information (PHI). Foster effective communication and professional relationships with team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public. Education: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field required. Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
