LOCATION: GLENDALE, CA FULL TIME Arminak Law APC is located in Glendale, California and specializes in civil litigation, including business litigation, employment litigation, family law, and catastrophic personal injuries. The firm has also allocated a portion of the practice to the private matters of high profile clients, including restraining orders and injunctions against paparazzi harassment, unauthorized use of name or likeness cases, conservatorships and contract matters. We are seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney with 1–5 years of experience to join our team. In this role, you will represent clients in a variety of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution, including but not limited to, drafting pleadings and motions, handling discovery, and making court appearances. Our firm handles a broad range of civil litigation matters, making this an ideal opportunity for newer attorneys who are still developing their interests and strengths within the litigation field. Associates will gain exposure to diverse areas of law and hands-on experience across different types of cases. We are structured with dedicated divisions, each focused on specific practice areas and led by experienced attorneys, providing opportunities for mentorship and collaboration. The ideal candidate has excellent writing and analytical skills, is comfortable managing cases, and can effectively advocate for clients in court. Responsibilities · Manage a caseload of civil litigation matters from inception to resolution, including but not limited to: conducting legal research; drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs; taking and defending depositions; and representing clients in court hearings. · Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the litigation process. · Develop and implement legal strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients, including negotiating settlements, preparing for mediation or arbitration, and preparing for trial. · Meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced work environment. Qualifications · Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. · Admission to the state bar and in good standing. · Minimum of 1+ years of experience in civil litigation. ·��Strong knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, and substantive laws relevant to civil litigation. · Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills. · Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely. · Strong negotiation and advocacy skills. · Detail-oriented and well-organized, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously. · Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. · Proficiency in using legal research tools, case management software, and LexisPlus.
