Associate Attorney

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Litigation Attorney with at least 2 years of civil litigation experience as a licensed attorney . The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, demonstrated skills in legal research and writing, and a commitment to outstanding client service. A background in personal injury or transportation law is a plus. Responsibilities Manage files throughout all stages of litigation, ensuring timely progression and adherence to deadlines. Attend court appearances and depositions , representing clients professionally and effectively. Draft and prepare responses to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests. Prepare case evaluations analyzing issues of liability and damages to guide client strategies. Review and summarize medical records to support litigation efforts. Draft timely evaluations and updates to clients on case analyses, strategies, progress and developments. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the Illinois Bar is required; additional licensure in Indiana is a plus. A minimum of 2 years of civil litigation experience as a licensed attorney. Strong research and writing skills, with keen attention to detail. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Commitment to high standards of client service and professionalism. Benefits Competitive salary and benefits package. The salary range for this position is $105,000 - $140,000, not including available bonus opportunities. This range reflects Canty Novy Bertkau Gordon’s good faith estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting.
