TOSCANI SHAKH LLP – Melville, NY Associate Attorney – Civil Litigation & Matrimonial Law Toscani Shakh LLP is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in civil litigation and/or matrimonial and divorce law to join our growing New York practice. Our firm handles a broad range of litigation matters, including complex civil disputes, matrimonial and family law matters, family law litigation and plaintiff's personal injury litigation. We are looking for an attorney who is eager to take an active role in case management, motion practice, court appearances, client communication, and litigation strategy. Responsibilities Manage cases from inception through resolution Draft pleadings, motions, discovery demands and responses, stipulations, and settlement agreements Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda of law Appear in court for conferences, motions, and hearings Participate in depositions, mediations, and negotiations Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel Assist partners with trial preparation and litigation strategy Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in civil litigation and/or matrimonial/divorce law Admission to the New York State Bar required Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills Experience handling court appearances and motion practice Ability to manage multiple matters independently Professional demeanor and strong client communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in Supreme Court litigation Familiarity with New York matrimonial practice and procedures Deposition and hearing experience Trial preparation experience Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience Opportunity for professional growth and hands-on litigation experience Collaborative and entrepreneurial work environment Qualified candidates should submit a resume, writing sample, and brief cover letter with salary demand and describing relevant experience.
