Cook County Offices Under The President Administrative Hearings Auditor Bureau of Administration Bureau of Economic Development Bureau of Finance Bureau of Human Resources Bureau of Technology Facilities Office of the President Job Summary Support the efficient management of all Department/Bureau operations by participating in the preparation and implementation of relevant policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with all statutory and strategic mandates pertaining to the Department/Bureau. Perform basic and routine work assignments and consult other staff for more complex issues. Assist in various projects and initiatives as needed. Handle coordination of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and assist in researching to develop and improve policies and practices around business operations. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree is required or Possession of a High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate is required and 4 years of administrative work, analytical work, or directly related experience is required or An equivalent combination of education and/or experience is required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of modern business systems accounting practices as they relate to large scale organizations. Skill in planning, developing, and completing basic and routine assignments. Ability to execute procedures/guidelines for improvement of services. Skill in strategically thinking, planning, and managing situations and issues and skill in verbal and written communication. Skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to provide basic insight, advice, and expertise to other professionals, management, and external contacts in an assigned functional area. Ability to operate as a team player and communicate basic or narrow-defined knowledge to team members and external stakeholders. Knowledge of basic and standard principles and practices for a specialized area of focus.
