Job Summary: This role is dedicated to ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in healthcare settings, adhering strictly to infection control protocols and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in assigned areas, including operating rooms and common spaces. Clean and disinfect equipment and supplies, ensuring they are safe for use. Properly handle, separate, and dispose of both regular and biohazardous waste. Adhere to all infection prevention and safety policies. Work both independently and collaboratively to fulfill department objectives. Education and Experience: High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred. Previous experience in a related role is advantageous. Certification as a Surgical Cleaning Technician is preferred. 1-2 years of relevant work experience recommended. Work Schedule: First shift, approximately 37.5 hours per week, with rotating holidays and weekend duties. This position is located in a regional healthcare facility within the Midwest area of the United States.
