Job Description: The Associate Director, Communications is a strategic, highly organized, and creative leader responsible for shaping and delivering integrated communications. This role is ideal for a seasoned storyteller and trusted partner who can balance big picture strategy with hands on execution, while coordinating stakeholders at all levels. The Associate Director will have oversight of brand-specific internal communications, while also overseeing key aspects of external communications, brand stewardship, PR and media relations, and event strategy, helping ensure a consistent, compelling voice across all touchpoints. Key Responsibilities External Communications, Brand Oversight & PR Support overall brand consistency and narrative across internal and external communications, ensuring alignment with organizational positioning and values. Write and review clear, compelling messaging for internal, external, and executive audiences. Oversee core PR functions, including media relations support, press and speaking trackers, announcement calendars, and media contact lists. Partner with internal teams and external agencies on press outreach, thought leadership, and speaking opportunities. Contribute to campaign storytelling, creative asset curation, and communications documentation across brand initiatives. Collaborate on organic social media strategy and content, ensuring messaging is cohesive, timely, and engaging. Stakeholder & Project Leadership Manage day to day relationships with internal stakeholders, providing strategic counsel and ensuring communications efforts are aligned, efficient, and impactful. Lead multiple communications workstreams simultaneously, balancing proactive planning with reactive needs in a fast-paced environment. Identify opportunities to evolve communications processes, tools, and approaches to improve scale, clarity, and engagement. Internal Communications, Employee Engagement & Leadership Support Lead the strategy, development, and execution of internal communications across channels (intranet, email, digital platforms), ensuring content informs, engages, and aligns employees with organizational priorities. Oversee and maintain a robust editorial and communications calendar that elevates people, leadership, events, launches, and business initiatives. Develop and manage leadership communications, including executive announcements, town halls, employee forums, and partner engagements. Requirements 7+ years of experience in communications, PR, marketing, or related field, with a strong focus on internal communications and content development. Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills; ability to create engaging content for diverse audiences. Strong organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced environment. Proactive, resourceful, and self-motivated with a growth mindset and desire to drive change. Experience with internal communications platforms (e.g., intranet, SharePoint), Adobe Creative Cloud, PowerPoint, and Microsoft applications (including Copilot); ability to learn new technologies as needed. Collaborative and relationship driven, with the ability to influence cross functional partners and external vendors. Dentsu may designate other Hub offices at any time. Those who live outside a commutable range may be designated as remote, depending on the role and business needs. Regardless of your work location, we expect our employees to be flexible to meet the needs of our Company and clients, which may include attendance in an office. The annual salary range for this position is $82,800-$110,000. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
