The Position: Associate Director of Human Resources This exempt full-time position’s overall objective is to support our hiring, training, Director of Talent Success, and other company departments in staffing, evaluating, and retaining Academic Approach employees— 1-on-1 instructors, school programs instructors, and full-time staff. The position requires strong organization, leadership, and communication skills. This position is based in our Lincoln Park Chicago office, with flexibility around remote work. Employee must be in the office one day per week and be available for local travel to Chicagoland Schools as needed. Key Responsibilities Staffing Participate in hiring process through such areas as leading interviews and evaluating sample lessons from candidates. Provide ratings and tracking information throughout this process. Track and facilitate necessary documentation for new hires utilizing the Applicant Tracking Systems, currently Pinpoint, and our Human Resource system, currently Rippling. Manage and lead the multi-pronged advertisement approach and process to recruit part-time and full-time staff. Support School Program delivery teams by leading the staffing of instructors to classroom programs and various school clients. Provide additional project-based support to program delivery teams. Develop and manage systems for instructor matching, school partner schedules and instructional needs, and travel compensation to maximize instructor effectiveness, teaching time, and schedule efficiency. Communicate directly with instructors to provide training and support on company-wide initiatives (operational, systems, etc.) Assist in the offboarding process for departing part-time and full-time employees in collaboration with the Director of Talent Success. Provide last-minute instruction as a substitute instructor for school program clients as needed when an alternative substitute cannot be found. Supporting Instructor Review Processes Develop deep knowledge of myacademicapproach.com, Academic Approach’s proprietary online system. Develop deep knowledge of Salesforce, Rippling, and Pinpoint in order to support system-wide initiatives and instructor knowledge. Provide support and guidance to instructors on utilizing and tracking data in these systems. Provide hiring support and ratings through Academic Approach’s Applicant Tracking System(s), which currently is Pinpoint. Provide support to instructional managers, coaches, and 1-on-1 and School Programs Directing Teams with focuses in areas such as bi-annual performance data analysis, program score improvement, and data fidelity in areas such as tutor calendars, timely hours entry, and score capture. Analyze areas of improvement for ongoing programs, organize necessary steps for tutor improvement, and help recommend and facilitate rematches as needed. Assist in the development and facilitation of regular review cycles with the 1-on-1 and School Programs Directing Teams to determine which programs and instructors are performing poorly. Facilitation Design and lead a review system for part-time instructor calendars to identify capacity opportunities. Track and send weekly updates on instructor perfor
