About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 12 The Team The Associate Director, Operations Excellence reports directly to the Head of Operations Excellence (part of the S&P DJI Data Group) and is accountable for driving metrics, reporting, and program management within SPDJI's Operations function. The team plays a critical role in supporting and enhancing our day-to-day operations-while also driving disciplined delivery of strategic initiatives and managing our internal business analytics and reporting. Operating with an enterprise mindset, Data Operations Excellence partners closely with Technology, Product, R&D, and the rest of the Operations function to enable cross-functional teams to execute and deliver while also providing them the essential intelligence they need to make data-informed decisions. Responsibilities And Impact Program Management & Execution Excellence Lead cross-Operational and cross-functional initiatives to streamline operational processes, reduce friction, and improve end-to-end execution across Operations. Establish program management best practices related to design, infrastructure, documentation, and ways of working to empower teams to execute and deliver. Own goal-setting and reporting for managed teams and deliverables. Business Operations, Metrics & Reporting Identify ways of quantifying everyday tasks and workflows to inform senior leadership about areas of opportunity, cost analysis, and resource management. Develop dashboards & data visualizations via a number of different applications to provide clear, real-time insights into work being done and progress toward objectives & key results. Establish and manage data pipelines across Operations and Technology to enable on-demand access to analytics. Leadership & Influence Act as a trusted advisor to team leader and other senior leaders, providing clear insight on operational risk, program health, and roadblocks. Build and lead high-performing teams with strong accountability, continuous improvement mindsets, and enterprise perspective. Lead by example and establish trust with team members and colleagues via authenticity and empathy. Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates) S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $104,435 to $167,490. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits. Include for roles that are bonus plan eligible, including sales commission plans. Required Qualifications What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline. 7+ years of experience in business operations, operational risk, controls, or governance within regulated or complex environments. Robust knowledge of index methodologies, the index industry, and financial markets. Strong analytical capability with experience defining and applying KPIs to inform decisions and keep stakeholders abreast of progress. Data visualization expertise (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) with portfolio available upon request. Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives. Superior communication and influencing skills, with the ability to partner effectively with multiple stakeholders with different requirements and expectations. Experience with process improvement and automation approaches (e.g., Lean, Agile, continuous improvement, workflow automation). Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in Business, Operations, Risk Management, or a related field. Professional certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, PMP, Agile, or risk-related credentials (e.g., ORM, CRISC) are advantageous.
