Overview Join our dynamic legal team as an Associate Family Law Attorney, where you will play a vital role in guiding clients through complex family law matters with energy, compassion, and expertise. You will handle a diverse caseload involving divorce, child custody, adoption, and related family law issues, ensuring each case is managed with dedication and professionalism. Duties Manage a broad spectrum of family law cases from inception through resolution, including negotiations, mediations, and litigation. Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Westlaw to support case strategies and stay current on relevant laws and regulations. Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and court correspondence with precision and clarity. Advocate for clients in court proceedings by presenting compelling arguments. Attend mediations and negotiating favorable settlements. Collaborate with clients to understand their goals, explain legal options clearly, and develop effective action plans. Maintain organized case files and documentation to ensure compliance with legal standards and deadlines. Stay informed about developments in family law and other relevant areas to provide comprehensive counsel. Skills Proven experience in family law with strong negotiation skills to achieve optimal client outcomes. Excellent research abilities utilizing Westlaw and other legal research platforms. Exceptional legal drafting and writing skills for preparing clear pleadings and legal documents. Ability to handle litigation processes effectively from filing through trial or settlement negotiations. Knowledge of family law is highly desirable, but for the right candidate, we are willing to train an entry -level associate. Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple cases simultaneously within a busy law office environment. Effective communication skills to explain complex legal concepts clearly to clients and colleagues alike.
