Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and relationship-driven Associate Financial Planner to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will be the connective tissue between our lead advisors, our clients, and the Springfield community. You will assist in the development of financial plans, provide white-glove service to our existing clientele, and act as a brand ambassador to expand our firm's local footprint. This is an ideal opportunity for an emerging financial professional who is on the path to becoming a CFP® and wants to build a career balancing financial analysis with high-impact human connection. Key Responsibilities 1. Financial Planning & Analysis Collaborate with Lead Advisors to gather client data, analyze financial situations, and co-develop comprehensive financial plans. Utilize financial planning software (RightCapital) to build out retirement projections, tax strategies, and estate planning models. Assist in portfolio research, investment analysis, and the preparation of asset allocation proposals. Prepare detailed meeting agendas, financial plan updates, and post-meeting action plans for client reviews. 2. Client Service & Relationship Management Serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring prompt, empathetic, and accurate resolutions to their requests. Manage the client onboarding process, ensuring new clients experience a seamless transition to our firm. Maintain and update client records and workflows in our CRM to ensure accurate tracking of client milestones and communications. Anticipate client needs by monitoring account activity, RMDs (Required Minimum Distributions), and cash flow requirements. 3. Community Engagement & Outreach Represent SignalPoint at local networking events, such as the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce meetings, local rotary clubs, and young professional groups (e.g., The Network). Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing client appreciation events and educational seminars in the Springfield area. Identify and cultivate partnerships with local nonprofits and charities that align with the firm’s community values. Contribute ideas for local marketing initiatives and community-focused social media content. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Personal Financial Planning, Business, or Economics. CFP® Track: Demonstrated commitment to the profession; actively pursuing or intending to pursue the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation is highly preferred. Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal). High attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities. Proficiency with Google Workspace; experience with industry CRM and financial planning software is a major plus.
