Job Description
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Athens is accepting applications for the position of full-time Associate Instructor of Technology Foundations. This full-time, in-person, position entails a commitment of at least 37.5 hours per week. The Technology Foundations instructor reports to the Vice President. Salary Range: $50,894 - $61,074 Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Education or subject area to be taught from an accredited college or university. Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience. Ability to teach Basic Math, Reading Comprehension, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, or Blueprint Reading. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software. Skilled at working with diverse faculty, staff, and student populations. Current in the fields of Basic Math, Reading Comprehension, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Blueprint Reading. Ability to travel between campuses. Preferred Qualifications Proven curriculum development experience in basic skills for adult learners. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must possess the communication skills necessary to be an effective teacher and interact with high school and adult learners. Must possess knowledge of the principles and practices of the industry and occupation. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationships with students, colleges, business and industry, faculty, staff and the general public. Must have ability to utilize Microsoft Office programs and other appropriate software needed for the teaching profession.
